Order and Cancellation Policy

  • Custom orders, including goods that have been cut or specifically ordered, cannot be cancelled. Once you accept our goods or services and quotation, our terms and conditions automatically apply.
  • Deposits made for these orders are non-refundable upon cancellation.

Installation Considerations

  • We are not responsible for doors that may not close or may rub on new carpeting. Please ensure there is sufficient clearance above the floor, or arrange for door removal prior to carpet installation. If assistance is required, payment for this service is directly to the installer.

Carpet Variations and Appearance

  • A change in appearance, known as shading, pile reversal, pile crush, or watermarking may occur in some cut pile carpets, caused by the fibres moving in different directions. These are natural phenomena and not manufacturing defects.
  • Please note, there may be slight colour variations between samples and the actual product due to differences in dye batches. This is a natural occurrence and does not indicate any defect in the floor covering.

Payment Terms

  • Complete payment is due on the installation date, unless previously agreed upon differently.
  • If the deposit is made via credit card, you authorise Carpet Right P/L to charge the balance one day post-installation.
  • Overdue accounts are subject to a 15% per annum interest charge. This interest will be compounded monthly and become part of the principal amount owed.
  • Storage of goods beyond 3 months will incur a monthly fee of $50.

Debt Recovery

  • Accounts unpaid for more than 60 days will incur charges for debt recovery, including legal fees, commission, and accounting costs. These charges will be added to your account.

Ownership of Goods

  • Full legal title of goods remains with Carpet Right until your account is paid in full.

Natural Products

  • Timber variations are natural and expected, differing in colour and characteristics from samples. Such variations do not indicate defects.

Installation Requirements

  • Ensure furniture and personal items are removed from the work area unless otherwise stated. Extra charges will apply if this is not done.
  • You must remove any existing floor coverings unless specifically included in the initial order. Additional costs will be incurred otherwise.
  • The subfloor should be cleared of waste and in a good condition. Subfloor preparation, if necessary, will be billed to the customer.

Scheduling and Cancellations

  • Please provide a 72-hour notice to cancel or change a scheduled installation/delivery date. A $150 charge applies for failure to notify us within this timeline.

Installation Care and Liability

  • While we take great care in our work, we cannot be held liable for minor damage to decorations, paintwork, furniture, or tiles.
  • We are not accountable for any damage to telephone wires, computer cables, or any electronic equipment related to relocation/reassembly.
  • It is prohibited to run electrical cables under carpeting.

Delays and Warranties

  • Estimated installation dates are subject to change due to production or transportation delays, which are not within our control. Such delays will not warrant any discount.
  • Our products are backed by individual manufacturer warranties as per consumer law.

Installation Specifications

  • Placement of seams and joins is carried out by Carpet Right unless specific instructions are provided.
  • Due to manufacturing processes, absolute perfection in pattern matching cannot be assured, especially for carpets stretched over multiple widths.
  • Should floor preparation be required at the time of installation, this cost is the responsibility of the customer.

Joins and Pattern Distinction

  • Carpet joins are unavoidable; some weaves might be more noticeable.
  • Light reflection may cause the appearance of shade differences near joins; these are not considered manufacturing or installation defects.

Plumbing Standards

  • For any water pipes encased within a concrete slab, Australian standards dictate a minimum depth of 50mm. We are not liable for damages to non-compliant piping.

Your acceptance of our goods, services, and quotation, or payment of a deposit, means you automatically accept these terms and conditions.
